The Bald Bharatanatya Dancer Pooja English story

It has been 2 years since Pooja and Rani shaved their head. Pooja’s hair had grown back to mid-back length, while Rani’s small tuft had grown long and she started to tie it. Every month, Rani would get her head shaved again, and Pooja would be with her, getting her underarms shaved instead of her head. One day, Pooja got an offer to perform Bharatanatyam at a charity show lead by cancer patients hospital. The show had a special demand — they needed a shaved head dancer.

Pooja’s dance guru remembered how beautiful she had looked bald two years ago and thought she would be perfect for the role. When Pooja told her mother about the offer, Rani was unsure at first. “Are you sure, child? It’s a big stage, and you’ll have to shave your head again,” she said. Pooja replied with determination, “Mom, this is for a good cause. I’ll do it.” At the end of the month, when the regular barber came, Pooja decided to shave her head along with her mother.

Rani agreed, and both of them sat down for the shave. The barber shaved their heads completely smooth, and Pooja felt a rush of excitement. The day of the performance arrived. Pooja got ready by wearing a yellow saree and doing her makeup. But when she looked in the mirror, she felt her head wasn’t smooth enough. “Mom, I need to re shave it,” she said, holding the razor. She went to the bathroom and shaved her head again, carefully making it perfectly smooth.

Then she applied foam and shaved it one more time. she kept shaving until it began to shine. When she came out, her mother smiled and said, “You look very beautiful .” Rani took some wet turmeric paste and gently applied it to Pooja’s bald head, giving it a soft yellow glow. “This will match your saree perfectly ,” she said. Pooja smiled shyly. When Pooja stepped on stage, her performance was mesmerizing. Her bald head gave a special charm to her dance. The audience watched in amazement, and the judges were deeply impressed.
